Students on our Health and Social Care course can complete a Level 4 Diploma (120 credits), a Level 5 Diploma (120 credits), or a combined Level 4 & 5 Diploma (240 credits), awarded by OTHM. These qualifications are designed to build the knowledge and practical skills needed to progress into supervisory, management, or specialist roles within the Health and Social Care sector.
The course is studied fully online, with flexible start dates so you can learn around your existing commitments. Each Level 4 and Level 5 module includes 40 hours of guided learning, alongside 30–50 hours of optional study materials such as readings, exercises, digital resources, and self-assessment tasks.
Assessment is assignment-based, with no exams. To complete the full Level 4 & 5 qualification, you’ll submit six written assignments at each level, typically 2,000–3,000 words, all submitted online.
Once completed, you’ll be awarded an OTHM Diploma in Health and Social Care Management, supporting career progression and allowing you to top up to a full bachelor’s degree at a range of UK universities, either on campus or via distance learning.

To enrol in our Level 4 Health and Social Care online course, you must be at least 18 years old and have a full secondary education, meaning you must have a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent.

To enrol on the Level 5 Health and Social Care online course, you must have completed the Level 4 OTHM diploma in Health and Social Care Management.
Level 4: £2,900 Enrol with a £20 deposit and then £120 a month for 24 months, interest free.
Level 5: £2,900 Enrol with a £20 deposit and then £120 a month for 24 months, interest free.
Level 4 & 5: £3,500 Enrol with a £20 deposit and then £145 a month for 24 months, interest free.

Once you’ve completed your online Level 4 & 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care course you have the opportunity to complete a third-year top-up degree programme, known as a ‘BA top up’, from a wide range of UK universities.
Students can apply to any university offering the BA top up and you can choose to study for your degree either online or in-person on campus.

Yes, you can register as a Registered Manager with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) if you have completed an Ofqual accredited Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care Management. This qualification is one of the essential requirements for becoming a registered manager in England.
In addition to the Level 5 Diploma, you must also have at least two years of relevant experience working in a care setting. This experience should demonstrate your ability to manage and lead a team, provide high-quality care, and ensure compliance with CQC regulations.
