This module aims to introduce the fundamental principles of the science of psychology, relating them to the entrepreneurial perspective of business management. The unit begins with an overview of the fundamental principles of psychology including the basic principles of the psychology of human behaviour and an examination of the relationship between social psychology and entrepreneurship. Next, the unit provides a description of the processes of learning and behaviour by investigating how observation leads to learning, as well as examining common types of learning. The following lessons focus on how motivation and emotions support entrepreneurship. More specifically the unit describes the influence of emotions on motivation and explains how motivation is a driver of entrepreneurial thinking. Finally, the unit focuses on the entrepreneurial personality, by discussing the psychology of personality and describing the effects of personality traits on attitudes and behaviour.
