Madeleine has recently completed the Level 6 Administrative and Business Management course. Read below Madeleine’s experience with Online Business School.

Why did you choose to study with Online Business School?

Because of my job and personal obligations, I was searching for an educational institution that gave me versatility and independence to learn at my own pace and at times that matched my commitments. I chose Business School on the basis of its academic credibility, and it lived up to its academic reputation and more. During my studies, I found opportunities for professional development not only academically, but also opportunities to broaden my experience beyond the knowledge of lessons.

How would you describe your experience of studying with Online Business School?

The online learning platform helps you to communicate with your tutors and peers if you have any queries or need support. Thanks to the cultural and global diversity of the learners in my group, it enabled me (and other learners) to challenge and learn about different practices on a global scale. The provision of regular interactive lectures was very helpful and added a further dimension of productive learning. The framework was easy to understand, and the assessments were straightforward. When the assessments were submitted, they were quickly graded and returned with detailed instructions from the tutors for any aspects that needed some more detail to obtain the passing grade.

What did you like the most about the course with Online Business School?

I like the fact that the course allows flexible learning and tutoring, and that the admin has been on hand to answer any questions related to the course or technical questions. As someone returning to formalised learning after a 3-year break, I was worried about what would be expected of me. Once I progressed through the research materials, I discovered that it strengthened my competence as a manager, developed and broadened my abilities and gave me encouragement to re-enter the job market.

Do you have any advice for current or prospective students?

My advice would be that there are no ‘silly questions.’ If you are not sure, please contact the support team or your peers. Before you start the course, it will appear pretty overwhelming, so I’d advise you to work through one module at a time and use your time to look at additional materials. Go through the guides until you have a clear understanding of the modules and think about how to apply these ideas to your daily job or life. Once you’ve related the material, it won’t seem as daunting, and writing your assignments and projects based on personal knowledge will make it much easier to understand.

What are your plans now?

I intend to enter the work market and apply for positions relating to my qualifications. This course has also broadened my career scope and made me curious in the areas of work that I would never have contemplated before.
